These days the Loveparade is for Germany what Carnival is for Brazil – an international event attracting a multitude of visitors and the eyes of everyone around the world. Even if Germans are typically thought of as cold and prudish, the Loveparade turns Germans into Brazilians. Imaginative costumes, girls barely covered, almost nude sometimes, dancing to intoxicating music. The visitors play along, turning it into a once-in-a-lifetime gigantic party of over a million people.
